Fix safely — or automatically

Fixes, not just alerts.

Operations that run themselves need fixes you can trust. Vantiqo doesn't stop at telling you something is wrong: press Fix, run a repair runbook after a second admin approves, or pre-approve automation for the problems you see every week — each with limits and an audit trail, so your team can stop firefighting.

One-click fixes

One click, and it says what it changes first.

Require IMDSv2

Turn on the safer instance metadata service for a server, with what changes spelled out before it runs.

Protection on

Termination and deletion protection for servers and databases that must not disappear by accident.

Backups kept

Keep database backups switched on, and encrypt new disks by default.

Public S3 blocked

Block public S3 access account-wide in one step.

Admin port closed

Close an admin port (such as SSH) that is open to the whole internet.

Permission updates

Apply Vantiqo's own permission updates when a new release needs them — one click, or automatically if you allow it.

Runbooks

Seven repair runbooks, always with a second pair of eyes.

Runbooks run through AWS Systems Manager or the Vantiqo agent, always after a second admin approves. The agent only runs repairs built into it — never commands sent to it — and only on servers where its installer allowed runbooks.

  • Clean up disk space and rotate big logs
  • Clear old temp files
  • Restart a failed service or restart a service
  • Install security updates
  • Renew a Let's Encrypt certificate
  • Every run, its approval and its result recorded and audited

Automation policies

Common problems fixed the moment they're found — on your terms.

Approved up front

Two admins approve each policy before it can run. Automation only runs the policies you approved, within their limits.

Limits and dry run

Daily limits per policy, a dry run to see what would happen, and a kill switch that stops everything at once.

Every run visible

Each automatic run appears in the audit log, on the finding and in your alert channels.

Even at 3 a.m.

A full disk or a failed service gets its approved fix as soon as it's found, not when someone wakes up.

Guardrails

Protected resources, launch limits, change freezes and approvals for risky actions on production accounts.

What changed just before

When something breaks, the releases, cloud changes, reboots and console actions from the two hours before are right in the alert.
